But still good news...

There's White Hat already in Makati!

Wheeee!!!!!!!

I was on my way to the Employee's lounge since I was at my break during my shift at MAC when I saw at the Rustan's Makati grocery .... the White Hat stall!

I've been going there ever since. Just recently, I've had a new favorite: cheesecake+brownie+cherry combo.

I think i'll know where to take my break this Tuesday :)

Chi's Brick Oven Kitchen

Valentine's Day for Thesugarbug had not just one but two brick-oven baked pizzas!
As usual, we spend Valentine's not where most of the people are - at Makati or Fort but in the little place near home called BF Paranaque where quaint restaurants align Aguirre Avenue in whichever cuisine you choose. We just had dinner as I had a photoshoot that day.
And hence we decided to try Chi's Brick Oven Kitchen at BF Paranaque along Aguirre Avenue, near Lay Bare Salon.
For Valentine's Day, we were welcomed with a warm and friendly atmosphere and an accoustic singer. When you enter the restaurant, you're welcomed by the sight of the brick oven and the chefs assembling the pizza and shoving it in the oven:

And I thought those just appeared in movies!

Yes, the sugarbug is shy to take pictures of the Brick Oven but she's not shy to do her annual Valentine antics and post it in the blog...

Dorky me with my Iced Green Tea drink (Php 50.00) I already removed my makeup here but the crimped hair still stays.
For pasta (a request) here's The Rigatoni in 3-cheese sauce (Php235.00) which contains tomato meat sauce and three cheeses - mozzarella, cheddar cheese, and Queso de bola. The taste was rich and divine and yep, good for two.

Yummmmm!!!!!!
Of course, we had to try the pizza because it was the specialty. Here's the Margherita Pizza, since the pasta was heavy enough already (Php 180.00)

Oven-baked pizza with a super-thin crisp crust and served with (oven-dried) red chili pepper flakes and hot sauce.
Now came an interesting dessert - PIZZA! hahahaha. I wanted to settle for mango ice box cake, but I could have it any time of the day. So I gave in to the Blueberry Cheesecake delight (Php125.00), which had blueberry preserves (yumyum), cream cheese, and graham cracker crumbs

It looks like your average cheese pizza on pictures but it's actually blueberry cheesecake. It's quite funny since I'm used to eating blueberry cheesecake warm but it was a good switch. I like that it's not too rich or sweet but I could still taste it. Plus, the crust is paper-thin and crisp.
And you know what? They gave me a pretty Valentine candy heart!
They do have a website though at http://brickovenkitchen.multiply.com where you could see the menu and the map, if you're not familiar with the BF Paranaque/South area. Yep, they also accept Visa and Mastercard. :)

This store is located right across Bo's Coffee at the ground floor of the Entertainment Mall section. Price range is not bad (Php60.00 a cup) and you get a good serving. Yum yum!
